Ich heisse Gisela Steinert, bin 54 Jahre alt und seit 18 Jahren an Parkinson erkrankt.
 
Parkinson ist keine Alterskrankheit mehr sondern es trifft auch immer mehr jüngere. Da diese noch fast alle berufstätig sind und auch die Erkrankungszeit viel länger dauert, ist es für sie nochmals schwerer mit der Krankheit umzugehen. Parkinson ist keine schöne Krankheit, im Gegenteil ... und deshalb ist Aufklärung und auch Forschung sehr wichtig.
 
Ich möchte jedem diese CD ans Herz legen, die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sänger John Langford entstanden ist und an der sich alle Künstler ohne Gage beteiligt haben. Ihnen gebührt mein herzlichster Dank. Der Erlös soll zu gleichen Teilen einmal der mobilen Sprechstunde der Parkinsonambulanz Hanau zugehen und einmal dem Sozialfond der Selbsthilfegruppe PAoL e.V. (Parkinsonline) im Internet.
 
Ein besonderer Dank geht an Rainer Mandler, der mich sehr unterstützt hat, für seine Arbeit und seine Geduld mit uns und an John Langford, ohne den dieses Werk gar nicht zustande gekommen wäre. Auch Lutz Thiel sei gedankt für das wunderschöne Cover.

Hello everyone and special greetings from England. Firstly I must thank you for buying this CD, all proceeds will go to the Parkinson’s cause.
 
Parkinson’s knows no boundaries, its knows no nationality, colour or creed. It’s a degenerative disease that effects and attacks people lives, it’s a common movement disorder with an estimated worldwide prevalence of 6.3 million people. Music also knows no boundaries, it brings people together and it can also change people’s lives. I hope that you will enjoy this album of fantastic songs and that we have helped, not only to raise some much needed funds, but also we have helped to raise a little awareness of Parkinson’s and help people worldwide.
 
I must thank all the artists for their talents and kindness in donating their songs for free on this Charity album. I thank Lutz Thiele for designing the album cover and Rainer Mandler for all his hard work and his production skills, everyone has given their time and efforts for free, many thanks to you all.
